Pilates classes: |
Pilates is a gentle form of exercise
to tone the whole body incorporating stability, flexibility
and balance.
We also teach functional exercises to demonstrate the
carry over of core strength into your daily life. 100
crunches are no use if you put your back out picking
up the wet washing basket. So we do “Vacuum cleaning
lunges” that will work your bottom and not hurt
your back. Suitable for all fitness levels. We also
have extra gentle classes too. |
Ball classes: |
It’s a lot like Pilates just more challenging
as you use your core strength to keep your balance on
a big bright ball. There is nothing better then the
sense of achievement when you succeed at ball challenges.
It is great fun. Suitable for all fitness levels. Pregnant
people are invited to come too, you will just be doing
slightly different exercises. |
Boxing classes: |
Some days you just really need to hit something
and this class is a great way to blow off steam. It
is a mix of punching techniques and cardio exercise
to improve your aerobic fitness. And you will be amazed
how quickly that can happen. So even if you think you
are not fit and have never done anything like it before
you can start this class.
Punch class is also a great calorie burner. |
Circuit classes: |
A combo class is a fun way to get fit & lose weight.
The class uses a wide variety of equipment including footballs, steps and suspension trainers just to name a few. It is designed to improve your fitness - both aerobically and strength wise.
You work at your own level so it suits all levels of fitness. |
Seniors: |
This class is not just for Seniors, it is also excellent rehabilitation for those with an injury that are not quite ready for a regular Pilates class yet.
The class is very gentle but enough to stretch where you need it and strenghten where you need it.
|
Personal training: |
Loose weight and get fit with safe and effective
training that is individually tailored for you. If you
have a sports goal we can design a program for you to
specifically target muscles and movements to give you
the edge and lessen the likely hood of injury. Some
people just do better with focused attention and don’t
like groups, so if you simply prefer one to one training
PT is for you. |
Rehabilitation: |
Often rehabilitation, the step between the chiropractor
and resuming normal activity, is left out. However stabilizing
the joint, building strength in the muscles and correcting
the postural problem that likely led to the injury in
the first place is very important.
Whether the injury came from a sporting accident or
sitting all day (which is just as dangerous) there is
a lot you can do to keep from re -injuring and staying
strong so you can enjoy your life. |
Healthy Eating Support Group: |
This is a discussion group for people interested in learning how to make better food choices for you and your family.
Some people use it as a weight loss tool and some people use it for inspiration. The choice is yours. Friendly people keep you focused on your goals without any pressure. |

Testimonial:
“Prior to joining Pilates I refused to exercise, just
walking my dog hurt my back. I despised gyms and refused to
ever join one.
As I got into my late 20s I discovered that I couldn’t
do the physical things that I used to. I’d pull muscles
or be completely out of breath.
At my first class, I couldn’t keep my balance, I just
wobbled everywhere! I did one class a week, and as my strength
and flexibility improved, I increased my classes. Now, I can’t
get enough! I am stronger, fitter, more toned and more flexible.
I feel a sense of achievement - I can finally touch my toes
which I couldn't do when I was 10! I feel better about my
body - I may not have the body of Jennifer Hawkins but I feel
good, sleep better, and feel more relaxed.
By far the greatest thing is that I have met some incredible
new friends - we laugh through class, so instead of dreading
exercise, I feel like I’m going to have a good time
with my friends; something I actually look forward to.
As a school teacher, a full day of running around after
6 year olds means I need a chance to release energy. I need
to look forward to something where I can have one hour that
is totally for me, where I get in touch with what is happening
in my body, calm my mind and work my body.
Then when Sarah introduced boxing class so we could improve
our cardio, I was very excited. I felt really comfortable
knowing we were going to be all improving together and I wouldn't
be pushed past my limit, there isn't any competition just
friends getting fit together. Boxing is so fun! My energy
and fitness levels have increased really quickly. I didn't
know how satisfying it would be to learn to punch in a controlled
environment, sometimes we all just need to punch something.
And I just love it now.”
