Testimonial:
“I’m a nurse at Hornsby hospital. After leaving school I tried doing exercise and could never find anything that I enjoyed.
For me to make a commitment I have to find it fun otherwise I loose interest. That was what drew me to boxing and pilates and has kept me committed. I love that at class I am laughing and having such a good time I don’t notice that the hour is gone or that I have been working out.
Being a nurse I shift people all day in and out of beds and really need to be strong with good posture. Sadly when I started pilates I had very bad posture. You might be thinking surely you’re a nurse and would know how to stand up straight, true, but just like everyone else I need a teacher who will teach me the best ways to achieve good posture and then train me, watch me and correct me till I can feel it on my own.
I need someone who specilises in correcting posture, who can give me the techniques and keep up to date with the latest information to help me improve so I can concentrate on what I do best.
In just one term of pilates my posture has improved significantly. I’m so pleased I am working on it now. I have seen how crippling bad posture can become when left for too many years.
Now I lift properly and move properly, I don’t always remember good posture but I know that after a day of forgotten posture I can stretch out in class and start a little taller the next day.
My number one benefit, for sure is I have more energy. This is really so important for anyone who is tired at the end of every day. I also can run more easily, I feel lighter and more flexible. I have found exercise I love and I am so thankful.”
